  1. Past hour
  2. After a somewhat better start, I have felt that Jack Quinn has almost fully reverted back to his awful 2024-25 form. At least for one game, The stats totally verify that.
  3. Entirely disagree with this. They are playing to a 73 point pace right now; that’s below what they played in Granato’s 1st full season when their key players were younger and the line-up was dotted with Wil Butcher, Andres Bjork, John Hayton, Aaron Dell, and Dustin Tokarski. In Granato’s next two years, with a younger core than now, they played to two games below DeLuca .500 and had a goal differential of -2. In a season and a 1/3 under Ruff, the Sabres are 17 games below DeLuca .500 and have a -35 goal differential. We act sometimes like we have been embarrassingly bad year after year. For 3 seasons under Granato we either met or exceeded reasonable expectations, based on the roster, every year. Ruff was a terrible mistake. He has had precisely the opposite impact that he was brought in to provide.
  4. Paid attendance at home games is 16,608 so far this year...up slightly from 15,998 last year. So the only really 'important' fans, as of yet, are not saying "Enough is enough". Far from it. Lets see what it looks like after this road trip though I guess.
  5. The dearth of leadership at all levels… Will anyone stand up and say “Enough is enough”? (Besides the fans)
  6. What!? It can't be! No one could have seen that coming. I thought for sure a below replacement level player would thrive on an nhl top line.
  7. Pfft was really 5-3. Yeah still loss on to the oilers
  8. Today
  9. For me absolutely not. He's a fan favorite (if this team has any of those anymore, he's one of them). Hes still going to be near the top of your scoring list at the end of the year barring injury. But that is THIS year, you are signing him for the next 7 or so after this year. As I posted 2 days ago, his analytics are already sliding. His skating stats/analytics have been going down 3-4 years in a row. When a team signs a bad contract, usually the fan base (or the team itself) says something like "how could we know he would be one of those players that age would catch up on so quickly?" Well, with Tuch, the signs are there, the stats on his skating are there. His overall stats are trending. Not just this year, but over the last few years. I'd much, MUCH rather spend tha money on Doan and Benson and i guess Kesserling..maybe resign Malenstyn and fill out the othe 2-3 spots in the roster you will have next year.
  10. 3 minutes, 30 seconds, 1 minute. That's the time gap between pulling within one goal and letting in another (excluding empty net). I didn't see the game, so can't fully comment. However, my chief complaint of UPL is not his stats, but that he never makes the save when they need it most. Those time gaps certainly seem to support it.
  11. It would be great if they were fired on this trip and Pegs said “find your own way home”. But, that’ll never happen.
  12. Two mote empty net goals given up! Woohoo! That gives the Sabres 12 and a 2 goal lead on Florida!
  13. I don’t get that he, and probably all of them, think they played good enough to win. He talked about not getting enough bounces. They had 4 goals on the road. That’s enough to win. But not when your top line guy goes -4 for the game like he did. He totally ignored the poor defense, the errant passes, and the uncovered players in their defensive zone. Compare this to what the Calgary coverage said about them. The Sabres live in another reality. Probably for survival.
  14. Sorry but you can have the very best coach in NHL history and still lose with these guys. Same song every year: we are young. They are young but seem not to listen or if they do they forget the lessons the next game. I no longer care if they win or lose. I watch on occasion and shrug when they lose. If you players want to embarrass themselves, so be it.

  16. That’s it for me tonight. Catch you all tomorrow night. Let’s win one.
  17. What if I have no life? What does this mean?
  18. Oh and Greenway's a heck of a hockey player isn't he? Genius putting him on the top line.
  19. 55 years of following these ***** you have not care anymore.
  20. That's Ruff and it's fine for the coach. It bugs me that so many times I saw Sabres looking to the refs for calls, No other team does that this much. Fight through it ffs.
  21. Live your life and don’t worry about the damn Sabres! They don’t give two shits about you either.
  22. He was thinking he could be sitting on the beach surrounded by palm trees paying 0 state income tax on his retirement checks.
