Ristolainen suspended three games

'According to Article 18.12 of the NHL's Collective Bargaining Agreement, the Sabres can appeal Ristolainen's suspension to the commissioner only. If the commissioner feels the appeal needs to move to a hearing, the process will move forward. If Bettman upholds the league's decision, then the suspension will stand with no further appeals available.' … [Read more...] about Ristolainen suspended three games

Ristolainen to have hearing with NHL Player Safety

'Ristolainen, 22, has never been fined or suspended in his four-year NHL career with the Sabres. Sabres fall to Penguins 3-1

'The Sabres are a defenseman down, and it is their best one as Rasmus Ristloainen is ejected from the game. He lined up Jake Guentzel for a hit and the forward was laid out by Ristolainen. The referees seem to overreact to the injury that Guentzel siffered and issue a five minute major penalty and a game misconduct to the Buffalo defenseman. I can see a minor for interference … [Read more...] about Sabres fall to Penguins 3-1

Murray: "We recognize where we have to get better"

'Murray still has a job to do with the season nearing its end. "Well, I think we all get judged every game through the season," Murray said. "I'll be evaluated by ownership at the end of the year and the players and coaches will be evaluated by me at the end of the year. I think the season has to run its course, at the end of your season you have a sit down with your players. … [Read more...] about Murray: “We recognize where we have to get better”

Bylsma: Eichel's two-way development has been a process

'"Jack's been an 18 and 19 year old in the league. He's in development and [is working] on his game, and that's been a process," said Bylsma with Howard Simon and Jeremy White on Tuesday morning on WGR. "His defensive play, his responsibilities on both sides of the puck and his responsibilities on faceoffs is significantly [better] than he was a year and a half ago. That's been … [Read more...] about Bylsma: Eichel’s two-way development has been a process

Sabres Hold Off Red Wings 2-1

'Jack Eichel and Matt Moulson both scored power play goals and Robin Lehner made 34 saves to lift the Sabres over the Red Wings on Monday 2-1. The win marked Buffalo's second in a row following Friday's shootout victory in Anaheim. Lehner was strong down the stretch, especially in the 3rd period, stopping all 18 Detroit shots. Sabres' Ennis enjoys his new line

'Ennis only has four goals and five assists for nine points in 41 games. That would give him just eight goals over an 82 game schedule and of course, he’s frustrated, “It doesn’t get any more frustrating than that, it’s been a tough go, but there’s a lot worse things in life, you’ve got to work yourself out of any rut you’re in, you’ve got to work yourself out of any situation … [Read more...] about Sabres’ Ennis enjoys his new line

Kings blank Sabres 2-0
