It was so it was so low for me and for one of the other girls that sang it, and he just didn’t know how to transpose, I guess, because he kept in it and that same key for every one of the people that did it,” she says. Nevertheless, it was knocked out and soon, it was on the radio, and it was a hit. “I was very excited about it and also, when Rick James, also who’s from Buffalo, was upset because his song wasn’t getting the airplay the Sabre song was, that was pretty funny,” she adds. Of all the times, she’s performed it, the biggest thrill was on Aud ice. “That was the best memory of actually getting out on the ice and singing this song to all the fans,” she notes.’
