‘With the acquisition of Josh Doan, Buffalo also traded Sam Lafferty to the Chicago Blackhawks for a sixth-round pick in 2026. Lafferty signed a two-year free agent contract with the Sabres last season, but he wasn’t at all as effective with Buffalo as he was in Vancouver with the Canucks the year before. Lafferty played 60 games for Buffalo and had four goals and three assists for seven points. The year before in 79 games with the Canucks he had 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points.’
