Inside the NHL: A jump in the salary cap is well-timed for Sabres' needs

‘Buffalo is going to open this season with around $8.7 million in cap space, according to Capfriendly.com, but that money is quickly soaked up for next season already when you consider what the Sabres are going to have to pay Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power. That duo is making about a combined $6.9 million this year – and will likely be looking at $18 million to $20 million for next season and beyond when new deals are finished.’
