‘“It took a little bit longer for me to get where I’m at now,” Thompson said Thursday, “but it’s a process and I think that’s the main thing, you can’t compare yourself to other people, everyone progresses at different paces and I always knew I would eventually get there, as long as I kept putting in the work, stay mentally strong through adversity and I think I did a good job of that and I think it’s starting to pay off. You just gotta keep building, keep getting better each day and when you do that, things will take care of themselves.”’
