Sabres comeback falls short, 5-4 in OT against Detroit

Source: WGR-AM

‘Mittelstadt scored two minutes later to bring Buffalo back within a goal, 4-3. The goal was the forward’s 12th of the season. Jeff Skinner and Jason Pominville assisted on the goal. Less than a minute later Jack Eichel was able to use a strong wrist shot in the slot to beat Howard and tie the game 4-4 in the third period. Victor Olofsson recorded his first career NHL point on Eichel’s 27th goal of the year. Sam Reinhart also assisted on the game-tying goal.’
