‘Pouliot was on an Oilers team last year that made the playoffs for the first time in years and is on the upswing with Connor McDavid. He only had eight goals and six assists in 67 games and he said the Sabres were attractive to him for many reasons, “The past few years haven’t been very good and it’s the same situation as I had a few years ago in Edmonton when I first signed there (2014). Things got better and better every year that I was there and I think it’s just fun to see the turnaround, it’s fun to see the guys have a good year and at least make the playoffs.”’
