Sabres’ Kyle Okposo returns to ice

‘Sabres general manager Jason Botterill said last month “everything’s looking great for Kyle” and the veteran will be ready for training camp.’

Sabres prospect Brett Murray happy at Penn State

‘“I don’t think anybody knows yet, because he’s still growing into his young body,” Gadowsky said. “He’s … a big kid. He’s still got a long way (to go). Our strength coach is salivating over him because he sees how much potential he has to gain in his body. He’s already a very strong guy.”’

Sabres Okposo’s next rehab step: Summer league 4-on-4 game

‘“Da Beauty League ” announced on its Twitter account that Okposo will make his debut on Wednesday night. The six-team league features a combination of mostly American-born professional and college players competing in four-on-four formatted games in Edina, Minnesota.’

‘There are many current, future, and former Sabres involved in the Da Beauty league. Zach Bogosian, Hudson Fasching, Casey Nelson, and Casey Mittlestadt are among current Sabres playing. Also, former Sabres Drew Stafford and Chris Stewart will lace up the skates. John Scott is the commissioner and Erik Rasmussen is a coach.’

Sabres’ Okposo returns to the ice in Minnesota summer league

‘This is likely the best news Sabres fans have heard or read in a long, long time. We still don’t know all of the details about what led to Okposo’s hospitalization but admittedly, it was scary.’

Okposo plays in game for first time since illness

‘Okposo, who did not speak to media, gave a wave when the announcer drew the attention of fans during his first shift in the 4-on-4 game. He smiled before skating the puck down the ice with linemates Stu Bickel and Riley Tufte, and taking a shot that went just wide.’
