Sabres sent 8 players down to Rochester

‘Ruhwedel, in his fourth season with the organization, hoped to turn a good year in Rochester into a starting job with Buffalo. The 25-year-old led Amerks defensemen and was fifth on the team in scoring with 10 goals and 36 points last season. He got bumped down the depth chart when the Sabres signed Cody Franson and Carlo Colaiacovo during the summer.’
