Sabres 1st Win Comes In Marathon Shootout, 4-3 Over Canes

Source: WGR-AM

‘Terry contributed on the tying goal at 18:12 of the third, assisting on Zach Boychuk’s power play goal. Boychuk’s shot tucked under the crossbar and immediately popped out of the net, prompting the ref to signal no goal. A brief review showed that Boychuck’s chance was good, tying the score 3-3. After a scoreless overtime, the two sides headed to a shootout, where Girgensons ended it in the 8th round. Matt Moulson and Chris Terry were the only two players to find the net before Girgensons’ winner.’
