Rob Ray Proud Of Sabres Alumni's Accomplishments

Source: Utica Observer Dispatch

‘The generosity offered by the Sabres Alumni with their scholarship program should be a benchmark all teams from the big four pro sports in North America heed to. Scholarships are open to all legal residents within the 716 , 585, and 905 area codes who are, or will be, high school seniors graduating in the spring of the current year who plan on being a full-time undergraduate. ” Scholarships could be as much as $2,000 a year, $8,000 total ( four years of college ) “, says Sabres Alumni President Ray. ” At any given time there could be 20 – 25 active scholarships “. Upwards to $50,000 annually in assisting ‘neighbors’ going to college should be shouted long and loud from this group of National Hockey League veterans.’
