‘After such an emotional day here at HSBC Arena the Sabres are able to take care of business on the ice, the best way to pay tribute to one of the greatest players in team history. After the win all of the players skated just inside of center ice and saluted to the heavens and Martin’s #7 banner in the rafters as fans stood and cheered as well. What a great gesture by the team. All of the players also had a white sticker on the back of their helmet with the fleur de lis along with ‘Martin 7′ below it as well.’
