The Aftermath: Philadelphia 5, Buffalo 2

Source: Sabres.com

‘The Flyers broke a 2-2 tie when Danny Briere’s centering pass was re-directed into the net off of Ville Leino’s skate at 2:17 of the third period. Leino was coming to a stop in front of the goal and the puck caromed off the outside edge of his skate and past Ryan Miller. The play was reviewed and deemed to be a good goal by the officials. To that point, the Sabres were outshooting the Flyers 29-20 but had been held off the scoreboard since scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. The Flyers added two more goals in the period on their way to a 5-2 win.’
