‘Clarke MacArthur opened the scoring just 2:28 into the game when he rushed the net and tucked a shot right under the crossbar to beat Canadiens goaltender Jaroslav Halak. Buffalo made it a 2-0 game shortly after thanks to Jason Pominville who swept a Derek Roy rebound into the net. For Pominville, it was just his second goal in 11 games and sixth on the season. Only about two minutes later, the two forwards swapped roles when Pominville found Roy for his sixth of the year — a one-timer to the right of Halak that, set up by a pretty Pominville pass that cut right in front of the crease and landed on Roy’s stick.’
