‘Jaro Spacek opened the scoring just a little over three minutes into the game by blasting a shot from the point past Florida netminder Tomas Vokoun. Following a game-tying goal by Panthers rookie Michal Repik later in the period, Spacek was in on Buffalo’s second goal when he assisted on Daniel Paille’s go-ahead tally. Skating in to the right of Vokoun, Paille wristed the puck into the net to put Buffalo up 2-1 heading into the break.’
