Roy Caps Off Furious Comeback; Sabres Beat Wild 4-3 In OT

Source: WGR-AM

‘Minnesota made it 3-1 early in the third when Miller accidentally shoveled the puck into his own net. Brent Burns got credit for the goal by virtue of being the last one to touch the puck. The Sabres came storming back, however, with yet another third-period pally. Mair got the comeback started by deflecting home a Nathan Paetsch shot from the point. Vanek scored his 8th goal of the season only 46 seconds later to tie the score 3-3. The two sides hung on through the remainder of regulation and Roy stuffed it past Backstrom — his first goal of the season — to win it in the extra frame.’
