Playoff Dreams Die in Montreal

'Buffalo finally got on the board midway through the third with Ales Kotalik blasting a power play goal past Carey Price. Derek Roy earned an assist on the goal to extend his point streak to eleven games. Ryan Miller left the net late in the third to get the extra attacker and had some great chances to score but could not solve Carey Price as Montreal went on to a 3-1 victory.' … [Read more...] about Playoff Dreams Die in Montreal

Following demotion, Roy hasn't looked back

'"Obviously, I was entering the season thinking I was going to make the team. But, at the same time, I'm looking at the roster and realizing that everyone but me had a one-way contract. I was the only guy with a two-way contract (with the Sabres and Americans), so it was pretty difficult going all out in training camp and, at the same time, knowing I could be sent back down. After a solid senior season, Whitmore going pro

'"I'll be back in the classroom on April 14, one day after our last game," Whitmore said. "I'm going to work my tail off once I get back, and hopefully some of my teachers are understanding of what I had to do. My goal is to make up what I missed during those last two weeks before finals because I would hate to throw away four years of academics just for this pro … [Read more...] about After a solid senior season, Whitmore going pro

The Sky Has Fallen

'Soon the Sabres will clean out their lockers and say goodbye until September.
