No love lost for Philadelphia duo

Source: Toronto Star

‘These two steadfast friends – former teammates with the Buffalo Sabres – might come to be known as Philadelphia’s "Phrench" Connection. A chance to be reunited with Biron, traded to Philadelphia at the 2007 trade deadline, is the reason Briere spurned Montreal’s free-agent offer last summer before signing an eight-year, $52 million (U.S.) deal with Philly on July 1. And he is paying the price with the venom directed at him, not just for rejecting Montreal but also for being the Flyers’ top playoff scorer.’
