Backhander moves to the fore

Source: Buffalo News

‘”You need to be able to do more than just one thing when you come down on the goaltender,” Briere said. “Everybody uses video now. Everybody knows what the players’ tendencies are and what moves they like to use. If you’re always doing the same move goalies will know. I remember last year my first two or three shootouts I’d use the same move and then goalies would start cheating and that’s why you got to mix it up and start working on other moves that might surprise them.”‘
