‘”I thought we played a lot more determined game for three periods,” said coach Lindy Ruff. “We had the better opportunities for most of the night, and you have to give their goaltender a lot of credit. He made some key saves on odd-numbered situations and on a couple breakaways when we really could have put the game away. We were a lot sharper in our own zone, limited their opportunities, and I thought we had better legs.”‘
