'Maybe Hecht summed up Briere best. "Danny is typical of the type of team were putting together here in Buffalo," Hecht said. "He is hard working and gives everything he has on the ice. He is respected both on and off the ice by teammates. It's going to be up to the rest of us to follow his lead."'
'Now that's not to say they're only going to lose 10-12 games the rest of the year, of course, but it does a lot for their own egos and creates a lot more interest in the community for hockey as the league battles back. It could have been a diasterous lockout, but because I believe that every team has been helped financially, I don't think it could be when all is said and done.'

Your goals at the AHL are usually to make the NHL instead of focusing on the team goals. But last year I was able to focus on the Rochester team goals and I think that helped me. I wasn't thinking about whether I was going to get called up. I was thinking about just winning games and having team success."'
