Start of Sabres camp will include daylong festivities

‘The Sabres will take the ice for practice in the blue third jersey, which will feature a modernization of the team’s vintage design elements from the 1970s. NHL teams did not wear third jerseys last year, save for the vintage duds the Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins wore during the Winter Classic in Ralph Wilson Stadium. Following practice, the team will hold an autograph session. Times for practice and details of the autograph session will be announced at a later date.’

Numminen returns to Sabres

Bouck’s 11 goals matched his career-high set in 2003-04 with Manitoba. Since turning pro in the 2000-01 season, Bouck has also played for Utah, Springfield and Manitoba.’

‘In 20 NHL seasons, Numminen has amassed 620 points on 115 goals and 505 assists. His 1,315 regular-season NHL games are the most ever by a European-trained NHL player. The native of Tampere, Finland, has eclipsed the 40-point plateau seven times in his career. His top two seasons were 54 points (11-43) in 1995-96 with Winnepeg, and 48 (13-35) in 2001-02 with Phoenix.’
